Considering herself an experienced nonprofit generalist, Amy Sinykin has spent her 20+ year career exclusively in the nonprofit sector (excluding a few years interspersed as waitstaff at a local restaurant.) She began her career as a member of the Lutheran Volunteer Corps in Washington DC where she developed a passion for volunteerism and volunteer management. She’s held such positions as volunteer manager with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, MN Chapter, agency relations manager for the Volunteer Center of St. Paul and Associate Director of the Volunteer Resource Center (now Hands on Twin Cities).
In 2004, she transferred her nonprofit management expertise to her work as Associate Director of the Charities Review Council, where she manages the nonprofit services team, the implementation of the strategic plan and directs the Council’s core operations including human resources, finances and technology implementation.
Amy graduated with honors from St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota with a degree in Sociology. She has served on numerous boards and committees including Articulture, the Corporate Volunteerism Council, the Mentoring Partnerships Quality Advisory Committee and the GiveMN strategy cabinet. Amy is currently a member of the Youth & Family Committe of the Jewish Community Center of St. Paul.
