CULTURAL COMPETENCE TASK FORCE: Transform the Council to a more culturally affirming, inclusive organization that will effectively serve donors and nonprofits of all cultures and characteristics by overseeing, guiding and advising the Council in:

Internal assessment of cultural competence and growth opportunities.

Aligning programs, services and standards accordingly.

Diversifying community involvement in, and ownership of, the Council
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE: Increase the financial capacity of the Council to advance its mission and carry out its strategic plan.
GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE: Increase the Council’s organizational capacity to advance its mission by:

Providing ongoing training, development, evaluation and enrichment opportunities to the board of directors so they can contribute to their highest potential.

Recruiting and recommending nominees for the board of directors.

Ensure effective board processes, structures and roles, including retreat planning, committee development, and board evaluation; sometimes includes role of nominating committee, such as keeping list of potential board members, orientation and training.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE: Champion nonprofit accountability by identifying good practices and vigorously engaging the sector in those practices to build public trust. Provide expert advice and counsel for the ongoing relevancy and use of Accountability Standards and education thereto. Advise the Council on efforts to educate donors on nonprofits and informed giving and thereby meet public needs for giving information.
