CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
ProAct, Inc. believes in the principles of the Charities Review Council and is pleased to receive the “Meets All Standards” designation. Carrying out mission-based activity through high standards of conduct and organizational integrity is very important to all of our stakeholders, especially the individuals served. ProAct is committed to working effectively and efficiently with a high level of accountability and transparency. Please contact us if you have any questions or are interested in more information about our organization.
ADDITIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS· A very significant and rewarding event of the 2005-2006 program year was the rigorous survey of ProAct’s programs and practices by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. ProAct’s employment services program received the full three-year accreditation. Additionally, the organization was given no recommendations for changes placing it among the top three percent of the organizations surveyed nationally.
· ProAct served more people than ever before, reaching a total of 900 participants in its various programs. This represents an increase of more than 6 percent from the 847 people served in the 2005-2006 program year.
· Opportunities for employment increased with the addition of document imaging, manufacturing and food service jobs.
· More than a dozen life skills and community involvement classes were added in 2006-2007.
· ProAct developed and implemented a new service named WOW “without walls” in Dakota County last year in response to a request-for-proposal. WOW provides services close to the residence of a participant without traveling a long distance, or to a central location.
