Benefits of a Review

• Demonstrates your transparency and accountability to your donors and the public.
• Increases your public exposure through our website and through the frequent media attention the Charities Review Council receives.
• Earn the "Meets Standards" seal, which can be used to set your organization apart by using it in your annual report, marketing and fundraising materials, website, and on your GiveMN.org profile.

Once your organization completes a review, you are added to our Smart Givers Network. Each year, thousands of potential donors use our website - or call us - to find worthy charities in which to donate.

If your organization meets all of the standards, you receive the “Meets Standards” seal. The seal is a visual indicator of your commitment to accountable and ethical practices. You earn the opportunity to use this seal on all of your communications to the public.

By enrolling in the Accountability Wizard your organization is committing to publicly post the review results.  Even if your organization does not meet all standards right away, your commitment to the Accountability Wizard demonstrates your transparency to donors.  Organizations can continue to work toward meeting all standards and eventually earn the “Meets Standards” seal.
