Our ultimate objective is to become an umbrella organization, which analyzes the basic needs of a community, and then, through this and other cooperating service agencies, lays out and carries out a plan for improvement in that community, to improve health, growth, and survival.

    CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
We are extremely grateful for the Charities Review Council action to recognize the Tanzania Life Project, as one that meets all of its rigorous accountability standards. We are committed to continue to meet these standards in the future as well as we have in the past. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask by phone or email as noted above. We gladly furnish the following clarification as to what we do specifically: We help Tanzanian villagers do the following to address crucial basic needs: - Implement wells and distribution systems for palatable water(most villagers have to get water from muddy ponds, or shallow surface pits that are snake infested - RISKS TO HEALTH) - Run electrical lines to the village to support education, healthcare and simple business - Support development of small businesses to generate income - Promote Women’s Rights education to change cultural norms preventing social growth - Team with Abbott Labs to treat HIV/AIDS victims and orphans of victims
