CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: Recognized by the Board of Regents as the central development office for the University of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Foundation was established in 1962 as an independent non-profit organization. Its mission is to engage the resources of the private sector to build excellence at the University of Minnesota. The Foundation works with colleges, departments and other affiliated organizations on all University campuses to raise gifts on behalf of the University.
The Foundation ensures that gifts are used as donors have requested and enhances the power of this giving by investing endowed funds to provide maximum, long-term benefits to designated programs. We appreciate the Charities Review Council's reporting mechanism, which illustrates our commitment to responsible governance. | | | |
