The mission of Free Arts for Abused Children of Minnesota is to bring the healing powers of artistic expression and mentorship into the lives of abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families.
Simply put, we believe Art Heals, Every Child Matters, and Volunteer Mentors Work!

CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: Free Arts Minnesota is grateful for the opportunity to go through the accountability review process with the Charities Review Council. With regards to Free Arts Minnesota not approving its budget within one month of the end of its 2008 fiscal year, and thus not meeting the board fiduciary oversight standard, due to the unprecedented economic times in 2008, the executive director, finance committee, and board of directors decided to approach the 2009 operating budget more cautiously than they have in the past. This lead to multiple informal reviews, and ultimately postponed the official approval of the 2009 budget by the Free Arts Minnesota Board of Directors until the first quarter of 2009. The 2010 operating budget will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors in the final quarter of 2009. | | | |
