    CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County is pleased to meet the standards of the Charities Review Council, and is committed to transparency and the highest standards of accountability to our donors, homeowners and volunteers. Founded in 1997, Habitat works to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by building affordable, energy and resource-efficient homes for God's people in need. Habitat sells homes to families who are ineligible for conventional financing. We offer no-profit, no-interest, 25-30 year mortgages for our buyers. As of September 2009, Habitat has built 24 homes for sale to partner families. There are 95 people living in Habitat homes. Please visit us at www.hfhdouglascounty.org or 320-762-4255 to learn more about our organization and how you can make a gift to help build hope, homes and community.
