    CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
Jeremiah Program, a broad-based community initiative, assists single mothers with children to help themselves complete their education and achieve economic self-sufficiency through access to affordable housing, child care, support services and meaningful employment. Program participants also have the opportunity to develop positive self-esteem and clarify the values on which they will build a successful life. Founded in 1993, Jeremiah Program opened our doors to 18 families in Minneapolis in 1998 and expanded to serve an additional 21 families in 2003. In 2007 we opened a second campus in Saint Paul, with capacity for 38 families. In February of 2009 the Board of Trustees voted to establish a National Board of Directors focused on implementing our strategic vision of becoming a national leader in supportive housing with a presence in 12 cities by 2020. We appreciate the opportunity provided by the Charities Review Council to demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards of accountability and transparency in the service of our mission.
