CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: Second Harvest North Central Food Bank provides food and grocery products to over 145 agencies serving low-income clients in north central Minnesota. The food bank also provides commodity food boxes directly to children and seniors, supplies food packs to needy school children and operates a food pantry on-site in Grand Rapids. In order to “engage the community to end hunger” Second Harvest North Central Food Bank provides nutrition and food safety education to agencies and clients and opens it’s doors to hundreds of volunteers and many community organizations. We are proud to meet all standards of the Charities Review Council and strive for transparency and accountability to all who engage in our work.
