CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: Committed to the Charities Review Council standards, CornerHouse is a transparent and efficient public-private partnership consisting of the law enforcement, legal, child protection and medical professions. CornerHouse promotes the best practices in child abuse investigations by placing the child’s interest first and supporting a multi-disciplinary team approach to the investigation of allegations of abuse. CornerHouse staff members interview children suspected of being abused in a non-leading and child friendly manner at a house-like building located in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis. The video recorded interview meets the needs of the multi-disciplinary team and protects the rights of suspects. In addition to direct client services, CornerHouse is an internationally recognized training center teaching its interview protocol throughout the United States and the world. CornerHouse has taught over 23,000 professionals from all 87 Minnesota counties, forty-eight states, and the International Criminal Court at The Hague.
