CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: Cornerstone is a multi-service, community based non profit. Founded in 1983 to serve individuals and families affected by family violence, the agency has a twenty-three year track record of innovative programming that goes well beyond meeting the immediate needs of those in crisis. Our willingness to think outside the box has led us to build one of the most comprehensive service continuums in Minnesota. Cornerstone’s programs and services annually impact the lives of nearly 32,000 women, men and children affected by domestic violence.
Cornerstone believes that to achieve our mission we must not only be committed to the safety and well-being of the families and youth in our community but we must also support those families to end the generational cycle of abuse. We understand that domestic violence profoundly affects not only the lives of the victim and the perpetrator but also the children who have witnessed the violence and have been victims themselves.
In 2006 Cornerstone converted it's data base to more accurately reflect clients served. In 2006 Cornerstone provided 51,036 hours of direct service which was 7,953 hours more than in 2005. | | | NON-CASH DONATIONS
