CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: For more than 50 years, the Society has maintained its consistent role as the only non-profit organization whose mission is to sustain the Lake Superior Zoo. We are at a cross-roads, moving forward to preserve the 85 year old zoo for future generations. The Lake Superior Zoological Society’s most significant accomplishment has been taking the lead role to save the zoo. Moving forward, the Society will be taking over day to day management under a new agreement with the City of Duluth, which owns the zoo, and will be increasing fundraising efforts to support this new role. The Society is committed to maintaining the highest level of standards in all fundraising efforts and thanks the Charity Review Council for giving us the tools to do so now and in the future. | | | NON-CASH DONATIONS
