CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
Since 1867, the Rochester Area Family Y has been providing for the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of the individual, family and community. This past year, we provided mentoring to 178 at-risk children, nurturing to 191 homeless teens, taught skills and core values to 2,808 youth in swimming lessons and 971 in youth sports, in addition to providing membership and program assistance for 873 individuals, youth and families. Donors make this possible.
The Rochester Area Family Y is committed to transparency and the accountability process made accessible to donors through the Charities Review Council. Our donors are able to know that we are guided by our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at all levels of our operation.
The Y will be reviewing the program category variations noted between the 990, audit and annual report, in order to standardize these reporting devices.
