CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: Minneapolis, Chapter #1 of the Disabled American Veterans was chartered in 1922. Chapter #1 supports many programs through the VA Medical Center, Minnesota Veterans Home, and Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Chapter #1 is dedicated to building better lives for all of our Nation’s disabled Veterans and their families.
We receive no government assistance, so that means we depend on donations, fund raising and our gambling operation at the Fort Snelling Club.
Members of Chapter #1 not only donate funds and time to the chapter, but also donate their time by volunteering at the VA Medical Center.
Our organization is proud to have met all the Charities Review Council Accountability Standards and would like to thank the staff members for all their help and support.
