    CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
There are more than 1.3 million Americans living with paralysis from spinal cord injury. Tragically, 11,000 more are paralyzed every year. The Morton Cure Paralysis Fund (MCPF), founded in 1996 to accelerate paralysis research, is a disciplined organization that focuses on expense control, accountability and results. MCPF supports cutting-edge research ideas, enabling researchers to gather the proof-of-concept data needed to pursue multimillion-dollar grants from large financiers such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, and the National Science Foundation. In effect, MCPF helps place promising research projects in the investigation pipeline. This strategy of seeking out and validating cutting-edge research and helping it make the leap into the mainstream multiplies the impact of your contributions. We are honored that you are considering our organization as a recipient of your contributions, and we pledge to continue to work hard to earn your support. We are proud to have passed review by the Charities Review Council and invite you to inquire with our office on any questions you may have.
