MISSION
In recognition of the bond between humans and animals, the Tri-County Humane Society exists to practice and promote humane principles, compassionate care, and the prevention of cruelty to animals.
This society serves the community, both animals and people, primarily by:
* providing quality care and adoption services for animals in need,
* offering educational programs to encourage the awareness,
understanding and practice of humane principles, and
* handling questions and complaints regarding animal care and behavior, including alleged cruelty, and neglect cases.

CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
The need for the services Tri-County Humane Society (TCHS) offers has grown throughout the years. We wish it would be the other way around, but as the community grows, so will its needs. The base of operations of the Tri-County Humane Society is our shelter. It is there that we give temporary care to animals who for various reasons are homeless. We strive to promote humane principles, compassionate care and the prevention of cruelty to animals through example and education. By setting measurable goals and asking for the public's help, we hope to reduce the number of unwanted and neglected animals needing our assistance. We can and will do this, thanks to our donors. We welcome the opportunity to show our supporters we are a reputable and efficient organization and appreciate the role the Charities Review Council plays in helping us do so.
