    CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW:
The Scouting and Learning for Life families and volunteers in central Minnesota and western Wisconsin are proud of the creation of the Northern Star Council! As the 2005 and future 990 tax returns will show, our fundraising and administrative costs have dropped by 25% since the consolidation of the former councils, and these savings and more have been returned to programs (and children) that could not have been provided for in the past. With more than 20,000 volunteers, each providing an average of 20 hours per month of youth mentoring and role modeling, Scouting programs provide a return on investment like no other social movement. Scouting works, and we are pleased to help answer any further questions you may have.
