How does it work? Five easy steps.
  1. Complete a simple pre-enrollment form to learn if the process is right for your organization. The pre-enrollment form will guide you through a series of questions.

  2. Follow the directions at the end of the pre-enrollment form to assemble your documents and send payment to the Council. (Download a preview of  the list of documents needed below.) After the Council has received these documents and your payment, you will receive an email describing how to access and use the Wizard.

  3. After completing your answers, use the Summary Report to share your Accountability Wizard® responses with your board and get their endorsement of participation. The report will provide language for a board resolution that declares its commitment to the Council's Accountability Standards. This is a pivotal step, accountability begins with an organization's board of directors. Submit your answers to the Council. (The resolution can be completed after submission.)

  4. The Council reviews and verifies information and issues a final report to you, drawing conclusions based on our standards.

  5. You may respond to the final report. Your response will be posted in your organization's Giving Guide profile where donors can read it. If you do not meet a given standard, for instance, you may comment on why you don't meet the standard and/or what your organization is doing to meet it.

}Respect for human, financial and material resources characterizes our actions. Since the Wizard review process involves our Board of Directors, it furthers our goal of transparency on a more internal level as well.~
