Thank you to all of our generous supporters!
Founded in 1946, the Charities Review Council continues to strengthen the integrity of our philanthropic environment by serving as an independent source of information and education for both donors and nonprofits.
Building Resources - We provide tools and in-depth resources to the giving public to make informed giving choices.
Building Trust - The Council's Accountability Standards were developed by a diverse group of donors, nonprofit leaders, grantmakers, academics and community representatives. They address four distinct areas of accountability— Public Disclosure, Governance, Financial Activity and Fundraising. Adherence to the Standards is one way charities demonstrate their trustworthiness to the giving public.
Building Strength - Nonprofits can participate in the Accountability Wizard, an online, educational assessment tool that helps them align with the sound policies, practices and procedures upheld by the Accountability Standards.
We need your help to encourage nonprofit accountability and informed giving. Please help pursue this critical work by including the Council in your giving. There are several ways you can donate to the Council:
