Accomplishments
Achievements in 2011-12 include the following:
-Launched a unique and critically-needed early identification service, the Multi-Disciplinary Assessment Team, expected to increase access to comprehensive assessment for over 200 children in the next three years;
-Piloted the Multi-Dimensional Treatment Foster Care Program, as one of two agencies selected by Hennepin County, which provides intensive therapeutic services using an evidence-based model for children who have previously lived in residential treatment center settings;
-Raised over $3.3 million toward an $11 million capital campaign goal and renovated one-third of our early education and early intervention center in Minnetonka to align the building with our exceptional health care and education practices;
-Celebrated the successful grand-opening of our Children’s Mental Health Clinic, designed to allow us to expand our in-center mental health services and reach more children with complex developmental needs;
-Constructed two state-of-the-art Autism Day Treatment suites, allowing us to serve more children with Autism Spectrum Disorder;
-Expanded our Supported Living Services program into Ramsey County, allowing us to continue to support individuals with enduring special needs to live as independently as possible by providing one-to-one in-home services in a supportive, non-restrictive environment; and
-Launched a Therapeutic Recreation “Adventure” program site in Minneapolis, allowing us to reach more youth and adults with special needs and promote community involvement and social development in those individuals.
