Accomplishments
Despite losing the Hibbing Hospital inpatient contract, RMHC continued to expand other programs, including the ADAPT (program in schools), Wellstone Community Crisis Stabilization Facility (opened in August of 2010) and we are currently working to expand our intensive residential treatment facility. Client numbers continue to grow and are now above 7300 individuals served in our programs. RMHC covers over 6400 square miles in northern Minnesota.
Current Goals
We are currently in the process of hiring a new CEO. Our strategic planning process was scheduled for February 2012 but, due to the loss of our CEO, our consultant advised we wait until a new one is hired. We plan to have a new CEO in place by June 2012 at the latest. We are also moving forward on the female wing for our intensive residential treatment facility. And we are developing an integrated care pilot project with Essentia Health in Ely, MN. We are also developing and implementing a performance management process.
Community or Constituency Served
Each year the Range Mental Health Center treats more than 7300 individuals of all age groups, races, social classes and disabilities. We provide services to children, families, adults, nursing home residents, retirees, and veterans for mental health and chemical use disorders.
Geographic Area Served
Our geographic service area spans over 6,400 square miles in northern Minnesota, providing services to all age groups, races, social classes and disabilities.
