During the 2010 fiscal year, ProAct provided employment, job skills training and life skills instruction to 1,069 individuals with disabilities. This was an increase of 7% from the year prior. Through center-based work provided by multiple business partners, ProAct provided paid, on-the-job training and support to 1,006 individuals. A total of 47 individuals transitioned from center-based job training and employment only to community-based employment. The organization also assisted 72 individuals with job assessments and 347 individuals with seeking, obtaining and maintaining integrated employment in the community. The average wage for the Metro area/Hudson was $8.35 an hour and $7.89 for Red Wing/Greater Minnesota.
Specifc Program Goals (this is a sample - there are many goals outlined in our Outcome Management Report which is available to the public): 1 - Maximize the number of jobs available in-center for job training and support (goal: 960); 2 - Maximize the number of consumers who enter into group employment or individual jobs (goal: 47); 3 - Maximize the number of individuals served through job assessments (goal: 77); and 4 - Maximize consumer average hourly earnings for independent employment (Metro area/Hudson goal: $8.05; Red Wing/Greater Minnesota goal: $7.81)
Goals related to ProAct's organizational strategic plan will remain the same as these were set in 2010 as part of a three year strategic plan: 1 - Develop Space to Meet Organizational Needs; 2 - Increase the Volume and Variety of Employment and Training Options to Maximize the Effectiveness of our Services; and 3 - Modify and Expand Programs in Current Geographic Areas Served.
