Minnesota Sinfonia

The mission of the Minnesota Sinfonia is to serve the musical and educational needs of the citizens of Minnesota, with special emphasis given to families with young children, inner-city youth, seniors and those with limited financial means. Most Recent Audit
The Minnesota Sinfonia did indeed meet almost all of its goals for the previous year. Those goals included 60 free concerts to the public and a music festival in North Minneapolis. The Sinfonia showcased world renown soloists and young artists, along with the musicians of the Minnesota Sinfonia. All concerts were free to the public and our targeted audiences of seniors, families with young children and those with limited financial means showed up in droves. The Sinfonia also partnered with 19 elementary public schools with our Music in the Schools program. We are very proud of what we have accomplished in the past 25 years.
Current Goals
The Sinfonia's goals for this year are to provide 60-70 free concerts to the public, including our Winter Concert Series, our Summer Concert Series, our holiday concerts, our music festivals in North Minneapolis and Fridley and to work with 18-20 elementary schools with our Music in the Schools program.
Community or Constituency Served
The Sinfonia serves the entire community, especially seniors, families with young children and those with limited financial means. The Sinfonia also serves, through our Music in the Schools program, approximately 10,000 elementary school students, mostly in the inner Twin Cities.
Geographic Area Served
The Sinfonia primarily serves the metropolitan area, but also tours to out state Minnesota.
