Most Recent Audit
With the final production of the 2012 season still running, the Jungle Theater anticipates that it will set a new record for attendance, surpassing last season's nearly 28,000 audience members for the third consecutive year. The number of season subscribers in 2012 also set a record, with 1,866 subscriptions - well above the 1,675 goal, resulting in more than $25,000 in additional season ticket income than was budgeted. Average sold capacity for performances has increased from 60% to more than 75% over the last four seasons. The Jungle Theater made over 12% of its ticket inventory available free of charge and another 30% available at a discount. The theater's collaboration with the Lyndale Community Elementary School directly engaged 100 children who are 74% of color and 75% low-income. In September 2012, the Jungle Theater paid off its capital debt, , and we continue to end each fiscal year in the black. We have begun building a small cash reserve to assist with cash flow, now approximately $35,000, with monthly donations to the reserve continuing as scheduled. The staff has remained stable, including leadership. Several new members with key skill sets were elected to the board of directors, contributing new expertise and fresh perspectives to governance.
Current Goals
• Retire all long-term debt by the end of the fiscal year while maintaining a balanced budget. • Sustain the stability of the organization's staff and continue to build board effectiveness. • Maintain the Jungle Theater's reputation for artistic quality and community impact.

More than half attend from the Minneapolis area, and more than a quarter attend from the East and West metro Twin Cities areas. Nearly 10% attend from Greater Minnesota and 5% from outside the state.
