Accomplishments
The St. Paul JCC provides educational, cultural, fitness and supportive services to people in the Greater St. Paul area. Our programs and services are available to everyone, regardless of race, religion, national origin, ability, age, gender, sexual orientation or economic status. We are a true community center, with activities taking place in our facility throughout each day. We offer fitness and wellness for all ages, daycare, after school activities, summer camps, aquatics programs, sports leagues, music and theatre programs and Jewish education classes. However, we’re more than “just a gym” or “just a daycare.” Our impact reaches out into the community, beyond our walls, to care for those in need of our inclusion & accessibility services, Meals-on-Wheels, medical transportation and interpretation services, grocery shopping assistance, new immigrant services and English language learning classes. 2013 Impact Numbers: Nearly 10,000 people visited the St. Paul JCC 182,790 times. Over 200 individuals received 5,727 rides to medical appointments, the grocery store, and JCC programs through our transportation services. Our inclusion program serviced 108 youth and 82 adults with special needs. 16,705 kosher meals were delivered to 90 different homes in Ramsey and Dakota counties through our Meals On Wheels program. The majority of this population is living between 100% and 200% of poverty. Over 250 children learned to swim in JCC Red Cross swimming lessons. Over 350 children attended JCC summer camp programs. Over 8000 personal training sessions helped people get healthier. Over 13,000 books were read in our Early Child Care.
