Accomplishments
In the last year ICA was able to meet and exceed in our giving. In FY08/09 (10/1/08 – 9/30/09) ICA served 1504 households groceries and financially aided 446 households. In the past year ICA served 1687 households groceries (+18% vs. last year) and 486 households financial assistance (+19% vs. last year). Examining individuals served from year to year the increase was from 4001 to 4615 individuals (+22% vs. last year).
Total Food Services rose from 7034 services in FY09 to 9240 in FY10, +31%. The amount of food given out to clients was 876,958lbs. in FY09; ICA has given out 1,140,668lbs in FY10 year to date.
Since Oct 2009, ICA has added 531 new Households (never have used our services prior), this is approximately 50 new Households per month, almost 1/3 of all ICA households.
Current Goals
2010 goals will be to continue to meet the rising needs, expand to help strengthen the senior population and look for opportunities to partner with organizations that have missions which complement our focus. Examples may include nutrition services, employment counseling and job training.

ICA serves the local community in need of food and/or financial assistance.

Western Suburbs of Minneapolis cities include Hopkins, Minnetonka, Greenwood, Shorewood, Woodland, Deephaven and Excelsior.
