Accomplishments
Our mission is to provide nourishing and healthy meals along with a personal touch to those who are homebound to help ensure their well-being and quality of life. We served 208 clients more than 30,000 meals last year. What an achievement for a very small organization with more than 250 dedicated smiling volunteers! This mission is repeated year after year thanks to the support of the community. Last year we developed a five year strategic plan addressing our mission to continue our vital support to our isolated neighbors. As we build for the future, all of our efforts take on a triple purpose raising awareness of our services, recruitment of volunteers and finding funds to ensure the future of our program. One of our leading goals for 2010 is to increase broad recognition of Northeast Dinner Bell, Inc, by building more relationships with the churches, businesses, and service organizations in the community. In an effort to do this, we are developing a public relations strategy to include a speaker's bureau and promotional materials. Our fundraisers will also include a public relations component.
Current Goals
Goal #1: Increase broad recognition of NEDB in order to secure more funding and volunteers Goal #2: Increase diversity of the types of volunteers we attract and retain Goal #3: Effectively use technology to help further NEDB’s mission and vision
