ChildFund International
ChildFund exists to help deprived, excluded and vulnerable
children have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity
to become young adults, parents and leaders who bring
lasting and positive change in their communities. We promote
societies whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing,
protecting and advancing the worth and rights of children.
One of the world’s oldest and most respected international child
development organizations, ChildFund works in 31 countries and
assists approximately 13.5 million children and family members
worldwide, regardless of race, creed or gender.

Accomplishments
Impact is realized in two ways. First, we note success through individual children using indicators such as improved health, nutrition and educational progress. Second, in the longer term, we have established baseline data (in 2009) in a few communities and we are projecting reports on this baseline data later in 2012
Current Goals
Our focus areas for the next three years center around our early childhood development programs, or what we refer to as the first life stage (birth to age 5). ChildFund recognizes that the earlier you intervene in a child’s life, the more impact you have and the longer it lasts. We will do this through integrated services focused on health, nutrition, education and child protection To make this possible, ChildFund also knows that we must continue to promote an in-depth understanding of our work with existing and potential supporters. In addition, we will continue to build recognition for our work, and we will continue to emphasize transparency by continuing to enhance our monitoring and evaluation process. As part of this, we will continue to monitor progress of individual children in our programs throughout all 3 of our life stages. We also will continue to demonstrate good stewardship of funding.
