Cancer Legal Line (New Organization)
Cancer Legal Line’s mission is to reduce the stress faced by cancer survivors when dealing with the many legal issues that may arise following a cancer diagnosis. By educating, informing and empowering cancer survivors with knowledge about their rights and the laws that pertain to them, they become stronger, more effective self-advocates, qualities CALL believes helps them to move forward with the important business of living. To this end, Cancer Legal Line provides and coordinates pro bono legal services to low-income Minnesotans affected by cancer.

Accomplishments
In 2010, Cancer Legal Line expanded the help it alone provides to Minnesotans affected by cancer in the following ways: (1) counseling and coordinating pro bono legal services for 133 Minnesotans with cancer who faced a critical legal problem but had no other way to avail themselves of an attorney's services at a vulnerable time in their lives, (2) providing legal information and education to hundreds of Minnesota cancer survivors via six (6) presentations to cancer survivorship group and cancer conferences throughout the Twin Cities, (3) providing a clearinghouse of cancer-related legal and financial resources to thousands of cancer survivors via our website www.CancerLegalLine.org.
Current Goals
1. To launch the Breast Cancer Legal Project
2. To provide 10 group presentations to cancer survivorship and community groups throughout the Twin Cities
3. To begin targeted outreach to outstate Minnesota areas
4. To serve 150 clients in our Case Consultation program
