Association for Nonsmokers - Minnesota
The mission of the Association for Nonsmokers-Minnesota is to promote and serve Minnesota nonsmokers in their quest for clean, healthy air; offer support to nonsmokers and organizations across the state and country; and combat the health, environmental, and economic problems resulting from tobacco use. ANSR is committed to reducing the number of young smokers and to continuously advocating for the rights and health of nonsmokers.

Accomplishments
Through ANSR's 2011 work to protect people from secondhand smoke where they live, work, and play: 15 cities adopted tobacco-free park policies; 121 new smoke-free apartment buildings became available in Minnesota; 2 post-secondary school campuses adopted tobacco-free policies; and 4 hotels implemented smoke-free building policies.
Current Goals
In 2012, ANSR is working to increase the availability of smoke-free multi-unit housing (apartment and condo buildings); increase the number of tobacco-free parks and campuses; and reduce the promotion of tobacco products to minors.
