Accomplishments
Our programs serve approximately 300 women and 250 children per year. In addition to receiving safe housing, meals and basic supplies, women and families benefit from intensive case management and supportive programming. At Ascension Place the average length of stay was 7 months. 100% of women participated in chemical health and/or mental health support groups and other activities, such as arts, financial literacy and health and wellness. In regard to St. Anne's Place residents, the average length of stay was 2 months. Mothers participated in life skills group, parenting, and the family reading program, and children participated in tutoring, fitness, arts and community outings. Additionally, we have approximatley 30 families participating in our after care program which helps mothers leaving shelter by encouraging stability, offering hope, and delivering resources to make independence a possibility.
Current Goals
Our goals for the current year include:
-Maintaining our current level of programming, including our new After care and Next Step Housing programs.
-Evaluating the impact and outcomes of our programs.
-Expanding funding support for programs that have faced funding declines, including the Aftercare Program and Ascension Place's Chemical Health Program.
-Maintaining a stable, well-qualified staff that can effectively respond to the needs of the clients.
-Engage more volunteers in our work.
