Accomplishments
Ascension Place, Inc. has a range of programs that helped 470 women and children last year to improve their self-sufficiency, housing stability and healthy behaviors. Ascension Place, Inc. has three main programs: 1) Ascension Place, 2) St. Anne’s Place, and 3) Next Step Housing. Ascension Place provided safe, stable transitional housing including three meals per day to 76 women. All participants attended activities related to self-sufficiency and health. St. Anne’s Place provided emergency shelter to 101 families last year including three meals per day and other basic needs. All family members participated in activities, like Family Reading Night and trips to the YMCA, that promote increased self-sufficiency and healthy behaviors. St. Anne's Place also has Aftercare services that help families find and keep stable housing. Lastly, Next Step Housing provided 13 alumnae of Ascension Place last year with permanent supportive housing. Ascension Place has different programs that all work toward improving self-sufficiency, housing stability and healthy behaviors.
