ARAHA's programs increased the well-being of the people of the Horn of Africa by meeting basic humanitarian needs; providing mechanisms for families to earn income and become self-sufficient; and by investing in education to break the cycle of poverty in this region. Locally in MN, ARAHA focused last year on raising awareness about youth violence problem among east African immigrants in Minnesota.
ARAHA aims to research and develop new and creative projects which continue to aid families in becoming self-sufficient while at the same time reduce their dependence on natural resources, fossil fuels, and outmoded processes which lead to inefficiency and poor health. Locally in MN, ARAHA is planning to organize ongoing youth workshop for individual building skills, teaching, and training them in life skills.
