The mission of Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI) is to provide accessible, affordable, assisted/supportive and independent living opportunities for persons with physical disabilities and brain injuries, as well as seniors. This mission is accomplished through the development and cost-effective management of accessible, affordable housing, as well as the provision of assisted/supportive living and rehabilitation services.

Accomplishments
In 2009, Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI) provided accessible, affordable housing, assisted/supportive living and health care services for 2,434 adults with physical disabilities and brain injuries, as well as seniors, at 120 scattered sites in 30 states, operating 101 nonprofit affiliates.
In 2009, ASI completed seven buildings with 149 units of accessible, affordable housing in six states. In 2009, ASI provided assisted/supportive living and health care services to 330 very low-income adults with physical disabilities and/or brain injuries.
Our mission at Accessible Space, Inc. is to provide accessible, affordable, independent and supportive living opportunities for persons with physical disabilities and brain injuries, as well as seniors. Our mission is accomplished through the development and operation of cooperatively managed housing, rehabilitation services and supportive living. Our services encourage very low-income adults with physical disabilities, as well as seniors, to maximize their independence, pursue employment/education goals, learn new self-care skills, enjoy their leisure time and achieve personal goals.
Our Mobility Impaired Services and Nevada Supportive Housing Services provide assisted living services on a 24/7/365 basis to very low-income adults with physical disabilities in Minnesota, Montana, Nevada and North Dakota. Our New Beginnings for Brain Injury Program and Shared Living Program provide 24/7/365 assisted living and adult foster care service to very low-income adults with traumatic brain injuiries in residential, as well as apartment, settings that encourage independence. Our Nevada Community Enrichment Program provides comprehensive day treatment services, vocational services and residential options to individuals with a traumatic brain injury.
Current Goals
By the end of 2010, Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI) will provide accessible, affordable housing, assisted/supportive living and health care services for 2,596 very low-income adults with physical disabilities and brain injuries, as well as seniors, at 127 scattered sites in 31 states, operating 106 nonprofit affiliates.
By the end of 2010, ASI will have completed six buildings with 143 units of 100% accessible, affordable “housing with care” in four states, including Minnesota. In 2010, ASI will have provided assisted/supportive living and health care services on a 24/7/365 basis to 328 adults with physical disabilities and/or brain injuries.
By the end of 2010, ASI will have seven accessible, affordable apartment buildings with a total of 338 units, under construction and another eight in various stages of development in ten states, including Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
ASI has three current goals for 2010 and 2011:
Goal I: To provide accessible, affordable housing and support services, for very low-income adults with physical disabilities, mobility impairments and brain injuries, as well as seniors.
Goal II: To provide quality health care and assisted living services on a 24/7/365 basis to very low-income adults with physical disabilities, mobility impairments and brain injuries, as well as seniors.
Goal III: To provide support services that result in increased levels of independence for very low-income adults with physical disabilities, mobility impairments and brain injuries, as well as seniors.
