2013 Year in Review

A Note from our Leadership

We encountered many transitions in the last year, as a result of growth and need in the community. The fresh start brought about by an Executive Director transition, and a move to a new, open-concept office and a brand new strategic plan gave us renewed energy and inspiration to move our work forward in big ways. Our list of strong nonprofits is growing, with over 600 organizations now working with us to achieve greater impact. In 2013, we also piloted a rolling review of the Accountability Standards, making revisions to help nonprofits and donors move into a new era of governance, financial strength and partnership. This means that the thousands of donors we engage throughout the year have more robust giving choices than ever before. Please read more about our work in the 2013 Year in Review.

Looking Towards the Future

In 2013, staff and board worked to develop a new strategic plan that will guide our work through 2016. The planning process was inspiring - resulting in a plan that will grow us to be even more useful to the community we serve. Our focus remains the same: to mobilize engaged, informed donors and strong, accountable nonprofits for the greater good. In the next three years, we’ll focus on expanding our reach, elevating our services, and encouraging productive relationships between donors and nonprofits. Our goal is to mobilize all communities  together to grow philanthropy and build nonprofit impact, so our dual constituency can achieve their shared goals.
